Overview
30-87.975 MHz demanding field net radio built on an SDR architecture with three progressive waveforms (CNR, VRN, PRN), AES-256 COMSEC, frequency hopping at 1000 hops/s and free channel search ECCM, up to 48 kbps data, GPS, and a modular family spanning 4 W handheld to 50 W vehicular/base sets.
The radio is intended for land forces such as infantry, forward observers, snipers, special forces and anti-terror units, and can be deployed at platoon or company level. The radio is compact, lightweight and ruggedized, which assures reliability and manoeuvrability in demanding mission-critical operations.
It provides continuous coverage in the 30-87.975 MHz band; the Software Defined Radio architecture offers three progressive waveforms (CNR / VRN / PRN) that guarantee more stable transmission, longer distance and greater speed for secured communication. High data throughput benefits equipment-system control, operational area supervision and real-time situational awareness.
The radio is also packed with advanced functionality: simultaneous voice and data, automatic position reporting using an internal or external GPS receiver, VOX, integration with field messaging and image transmission applications. Demanding field Net Radio (CNR) is the primary role - voice or data transmission point to point or point to multi-point, with four modes: FM (frequency modulation), FF (fixed frequency), FH (frequency hopping) and FCS (free channel search).
Voice Relay Network (VRN) extends voice range by chaining radios, resolving communication issues in complicated scenarios such as underground, jungle and trench; the VRN can be spread up to 6 hops relaying in both FF and FH modes. Packet Radio Network (PRN) serves data transmission from man to machine and machine to machine, based on Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) technology, with decentralization, self-healing, self-forming and dynamic topology, carrying simultaneous voice and data over up to 6 hops in 32 nodes maximum.
Provide the field VHF backbone for dismounted and mounted small units - encrypted, jam-resistant voice and data that keeps working in terrain and scenarios where single-hop radio fails.
