HF Software-Defined Radio
HF SDR family (1.6-30 MHz) providing beyond-line-of-sight voice and data via ground wave, surface wave and ionospheric sky wave.

Overview
HF SDR family (1.6-30 MHz) providing beyond-line-of-sight voice and data via ground wave, surface wave and ionospheric sky wave. Direct RF sampling broadband spectrum technology selects the best frequency automatically; AES-256 plus customized encryption and frequency hopping ECCM secure the link. Available as 5/20 W manpack, 20/50/125 W vehicular and 1000 W base station / naval radio.
The field HF SDR provides reliable and secure long-range voice and data services under harsh environmental conditions. It adopts Direct RF Sampling broadband spectrum technology to automatically and quickly select the best communication frequency, and combines built-in AES-256 with customized encryption for secure communication.
Advanced voice CODEC and DEC technology deliver clear voice even in noisy environments. The Fast Frequency Selection (FFS) waveform sweeps the whole 2-30 MHz band between a master and slave radio: an Intelligent Probe runs channel-quality detection during idle periods, Intelligent Frequency Selection uses a high-performance SDR platform with spectrum awareness and multi-channel parallel reception plus a historical database of usable frequencies, and Intelligent Link Maintenance monitors and automatically restores the link for round-the-clock availability.
Operationally, HF covers more than ten kilometres by ground wave, up to about 200 km by surface wave and thousands of kilometres by ionospheric reflection; mixing fixed and mobile networks makes the traffic much harder to interfere with. Ancillary equipment includes 125 W and 1000 W power amplifiers (the 1000 W with a vehicle whip or three-wire broadband antenna) and an automatic antenna tuner that adapts the amplifier to different antenna types.
Give commanders a jam-resistant, infrastructure-free long-haul bearer for voice and data when satellite and terrestrial networks are unavailable, contested or out of range.

Where it operates
- Ground wave short haul — Communication beyond ten kilometres using the ground wave between dismounted and vehicle stations.
- Surface wave medium haul — Coverage within roughly 200 km via the surface wave.
- Sky wave long haul — Thousands of kilometres via ionospheric reflection, e.g. manpack to command centre or naval vessels.
- Remote operation — Radios controlled remotely over Ethernet or field cable, separating operator from the emitter.
