Overview
1U DMR repeater, 5-50 W adjustable, 100% duty cycle, AC or DC powered with automatic switching, supporting analog and digital conventional modes with Digital Trunking Lite and Simulcast as upgrade paths. An Enhanced version adds a quad-core 1.6 GHz co-processor with 2 GB RAM, integrated router and SIP gateway, web-based management and SNMPv3.
The repeater represents the next generation digital repeater intended to meet demands for communication coverage and reliable, high-performance radio network services. The economical 1U height reduces space requirements for installation, and the unit accepts both AC and DC input with automatic switching.
Communication range is extended by enhanced RX sensitivity, while an Ethernet port enables access to IP networks and connection to everything, everywhere. The repeater supports mixed channel mode: it detects the received signal and automatically switches between analog and digital mode, which offers an easy way to migrate from analog to digital.
Two versions are offered. Both support the general features; the Enhanced version adds an add-on quad-core 1.6 GHz co-processor with 2 GB RAM for faster processing and application integration, integrates a router and SIP gateway features (fewer devices, simplified management, more cost-effective network construction), a web-based back-end management platform for configuration, upgrade and real-time diagnosis from a browser, and SNMPv3 for enhanced communication security.
The standard version can be upgraded to the enhanced version with an add-on co-processor module board. For solutions, the repeater serves as an intelligent communication platform flexible enough to connect a variety of systems - it can provide intercom system connections to SIP phones and dispatching systems, and an open API allows third-party development.
Wireless link communication is applicable for forests, highways and other areas where a wired network is difficult to deploy: with the help of FAAB mobile radios (MD03Si or HR47Si) it is possible to establish wireless connections between two systems where there is no IP link. The repeater repeaters are compatible with most FAAB system types - Analog and Digital Conventional modes, XPT, Conventional Simulcast and DMR Tier 3 DS-6211.
Whether migrating from analog to digital or switching to a large capacity trunking system, the repeaters can be unlocked by firmware upgrade and a chargeable license.
