Connected Operator System
Turns every worker into a connected, computing node on the secure network

Overview
The Connected Operator System is a lightweight, body-worn kit from FAAB Group that links each worker into the wider secure network as a fully connected node. It integrates a multi-band personal radio, a full-duplex intercom headset, an edge computer and a high-capacity battery into one harness under 1.5 kg, delivering secure voice, data and real-time coordination in the field. It runs apps locally at the edge, shares position and status across the team, and bridges up to group and organization networks under AES-256 encryption.
Integrates a multi-band personal radio, a full-duplex intercom headset, an edge computer and a high-capacity battery into a single body-worn harness weighing under 1.5 kg, so the wearer carries one connected kit rather than several separate devices.
Runs coordination, mapping and reporting applications directly on the integrated edge computer (quad-core processor, 8 GB memory, 128 GB storage), keeping the wearer productive even when the backhaul link drops and syncing automatically when it returns.
Connects each person into a self-forming, self-healing ad-hoc network supporting up to 24 nodes and up to 6 relay hops, extending usable range by 3 to 5 times without any fixed infrastructure.
Delivers full-duplex team intercom for up to 6 simultaneous talkers on a single network, with priority break-in for the team lead and hands-free, always-on hearing that removes push-to-talk from routine coordination.
Secures every voice and data path with AES-256 encryption, device authentication and key-fill provisioning, and clears sensitive material through manual, disassembly-triggered and remote key-erasure methods.
Shares live position, status and map marks across the team over the personal network, and bridges the wearer up to group and organization VHF and cellular networks through dual-PTT linking of the personal and multi-band radios.
